We will have our parent meeting next Wednesday November 30th at the rink meeting room starting at 6:30 pm. I will send out an agenda later this weekend or early next week.

Booster Meeting for next Tuesday, November 15th has been cancelled
The Booster Meeting for next Tuesday has been cancelled, it is a very busy week with try outs. Meeting will be re-scheduled soon.
Coach Fairman is requesting help on a few items:
1.Looking for a used monitor for a computer the coaching staff can use at the rink (preferably a flat screen).
2. Someone with a truck or a few parents to volunteer assisting with picking up and returning spot lights ( at a rental location yet to be determined) to be used for home games. If you are interested in helping with this let Coach Fairman or myself know.

2011 - 2012 BHS Boys Hockey meetings comming up in November
We will have a meeting on the evening of November 15th in the meeting room at the rink to go over Booster items. Coach Jason Fairman will be there as well to discuss some things. Plan on 6:30 pm and I will send out an agenda before hand as well.
Don't forget the Winter Sports Meeting in the PAC at the High School on November 10th at 7:00 pm.

Scrimmage fest - November 18th & 19th

2011 - 2012 Buffalo Boys High School Hockey Miscellaneous Notes
The boys will be meeting the new coach at school on Oct 26th. Jason Fairman played D1 at Cornell, latest coaching job at Augsburg with Bruce Johnson who will be joining him as Varsity Assistant Coach.
The JV and Varsity game schedule is out on the Mississippi 8 website if you want to view or print out a copy.
The JV and Varsity team go to Duluth every December for a tournament. This year it is Dec 27-29th. The players and coaches stay at the same hotel and this is payed for by the Booster club. Family members are on their own, we do not reserve a block of rooms or anything. We come home on the 29th so you would need a hotel for the 27th and 28th. It is a fun tournament. I have booked a room in November in the past and there has been plenty available so you don't need to book right now, just wanted to let everyone know.
Practices start right after school on Nov 14. I am hoping the coach gives the boys a practice and a try out schedule. I do not know exact tryout dates yet, when I find out I will let everyone know. Scrimmage fest is the weekend of tryouts. Buffalo scrimmages other teams as a part of try outs, Friday and Saturday games I believe, someone can correct me if they remember it being Sunday too.
Below are Activities/Events we need Booster parents to volunteer for throughout the season. Please start thinking about what you might be interested in coordinating or helping with. It would be nice to have someone volunteer to coordinate the Scrimmage Fest soon. It is pretty easy, just schedule a few front entry people and clock workers for each game.

2011 - 2012 Buffalo Hockey Captain's Practice Schedule
I want to let everyone know that Captain's practices for all players (JV, Varsity and Bantams who want to try out for Varsity) will begin Oct 12 and run through Nov 11th. Practices are about 4 times a week. During fall varsity sports, practices will be in the evenings and then switch over to after school when fall sports are done. Final schedule and payment information will be out soon. Last year's cost was $190 per player, should be close to that this year, may be a little more.
